Tonight is a memorable night for me. This year's thanksgiving means a lot more than usual. An unstructured gathering, relaxed and unmasked. A night where I am myself. I don't need to specially reach any one in particular.

Thank you for every single individual in E376! You made a big difference in my life! Your existence added joy to my life!

I would like to use this note to make special mention to each and everyone of you:
Dear Gideon, you are always so dear to my heart. Because of your willingness to stand in the gap for me, my ministry is strengthened. No matter what others say, you always try to flow with me. Because of your ability to flow, the presence of God is always there. THANK YOU!

Dear Gracelyn, you too are always so dear to my heart. We may not speak much but you know my heart, and this blessed my heart and encouraged me with comfort to minister freely in the CG. Though you may move to CCH, but we are still ONE family. Forever, you are a part of us. THANK YOU!

Dear Sebastian, you are my most teachable disciple! Because of your openness, you are easily moldable. Because of your willingness, you enabled me to be a better leader, assuring me that I can always count on you. THANK YOU!

Dear Christy, you are soooooooooo quiet! But you talk to me. So that does make me happy. Hahah! THANK YOU!

Dear Lucius (Uncle), you are so uncle! (hahaha! Kidding!) You are probably the only one that I would really talk openly and not be worried that my sharing might affect you. Thank you for being so mature and so my age that I know I can trust you and your maturity to handle truths. THANK YOU!

Hi ppl,

I just wanna share w you a testimony and the encounter i had with God during my lowest point. Hopefully it will encourage you (:

Title: Faith & Trust

When something goes wrong in your life, and you can do nothing about the situation, many of times; you'll feel dishearten.
Situation is worst when things have always been smooth in your life and you've nvr faced any setbacks but all of a sudden, failure strikes you.

There are just some things in my life that isnt going too smoothly or rather i've nvr faced any setback like this. The first day, i was really upset. I cried and i questioned God, "why things turn out this way, this is not what i wanted. Haven't i been faithful in serving you and abiding to your words?" I didnt even wanted to serve that weekend and wanna hide away from the whole world but I really thank God for His words. If not for His words, my Faith and trust in Him will waver.

God reminded me of many verses in the bible. Just to share a few here. One of which is in James 1:2 where God reminded me that these are trials in my life, and that He is testing my faith and trust in Him.

The other verse He reminded me is taken from Col 1:3-14. On sat, when i attended service, i really came with a heavy heart. I really didnt wanna sing praise and so i just clap my hands "Strengthlessly" and didnt sing with a thankful heart to praise Him. Then again, God reminded me from Colossians to give thanks and praise God no matter what situation we are in. I was also reminded by what Pastor shared before. He mention that it is really difficult to praise God in times or troubles and at your lowest point. But he also said, all the more you shld give thanks to God, and praise Him even louder. Thus, i lift my heavy heart up unto God and started praising Him. Indeed all was good. I felt much relieve after that.

Then again, on Monday, another situation hit me. I was lyk really depressed; once again i ask God, "God, I tot you gave me your word, that nothing is impossible thru you, that if i continue to confess over it, it'll come to past?"
But God replied me instantly, "I am stretching you, bringing your faith for Me up to the next level." I was also reminded that God ways are higher than my ways. He has His plans for me and His plans will nvr go wrong. So i told God, "Show me your plan, God!"

True enough, He showed me His plans. At the start of October, when i had decided that i want to go SOT 2011, I trusted God. I trust that He will provide the fees for me, i trust that He will help me to plan my time so that SOT will not clash with my Uni classes. Now, God really showed me His plans. If i pass all my modules, my classes will be mostly in the morning especially in march. Now that i have to retake certain modules, my classes are mostly 330pm onwards and only one or two classed in the noon. For those who dont know, SOT classes are 830am to 1pm. Indeed, God ways are higher than my ways. He had it all plan out for me.

I am no longer upset and i aint afraid to share this. Yes, i failed 2 modules (which i really did not expect). It was a great blow to me becos i have nvr failed in my life or rather i have nvr failed examinations before. But God is faithful! When i trusted Him and feed on the Word of God, He showed me His ways. He is an awesome God and i can stand firmly and say becos of this, my faith in Him has increased and i have moved up to the next level.

To all christians: Nvr Give Up on God when u are faced with a difficult situation and dont understand why. For God will bring you out of the situation. He will nvr put u in any situation too difficult for you to handle. Trust Him, Have Faith in Him and Read His words.

Servanthood

This is a strong message by Pastor Tan on one of the leaders' meeting, and I believe those who went the meeting was strongly impacted by what pastor had shared. Hopefully it will bring another new level of perspective on what exactly it meant to be a servant(one who serve) and a master(one who take care of his servant).

In Exodus, Moses was called to bring the people of Isreal to a promised land, in another words Moses brought the people out of Egypt, out of salvery to the land of Canan where they will be freed from their salvery. So the system would look this way:

Moses had brought the people out so that they could be freed from the salvery of Eygpt to another form of salvery, salvery of the 10 commandment where Moses received from God in Mount Sinai(Exodus 20). If you read on the rest of Exodus, you would realized that from Exodus 21 onwards, would be an elaboration of all the commandment that God have gave Moses.

Exodus 21:1-9

1 “Now these are the judgments which you shall set before them: 2If you buy a Hebrew servant, he shall serve six years; and in the seventh he shall go out free and pay nothing. 3 If he comes in by himself, he shall go out by himself; if he comes in married, then his wife shall go out with him. 4 If his master has given him a wife, and she has borne him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall be her master’s, and he shall go out by himself. 5 But if the servant plainly says, ‘I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free,’ 6 then his master shall bring him to the judges. He shall also bring him to the door, or to the doorpost, and his master shall pierce his ear with an awl; and he shall serve him forever.
7 “And if a man sells his daughter to be a female slave, she shall not go out as the male slaves do. 8 If she does not please her master, who has betrothed her to himself, then he shall let her be redeemed. He shall have no right to sell her to a foreign people, since he has dealt deceitfully with her. 9 And if he has betrothed her to his son, he shall deal with her according to the custom of daughters. 10 If he takes another wife, he shall not diminish her food, her clothing, and her marriage rights. 11 And if he does not do these three for her, then she shall go out free, without payingmoney.

Now look at this paragraph, you would realized that this whole passage was talking about a Hebrew servant. And v2 is an elaboration of the 4th commandment: Sabbath day.

Now while we are talking about Hebrew servant, we need to find out the origin of how exactly can a Hebrew become a slave/servant? To understand this even further we shall look at Leviticus 25:23-55.

Leviticus 25:23-55 is very very very long story on how a person from rich ended up into a slave/servant. To start with, every man are entitled to a piece of land, from the highest top of the family tree, our grandfather to our father to us, this piece of land was inherit from time to time after one died off. So a person will never become poor if he were to use the land inherit to irrigate food for himself. BUT if a person were to become poor because of his bad investment, or because of his poor judgement, or because of gambling habits, whatever reasons it may takes to let him become poor, he is entitled to SELL his land to his debtors as a mortgage. This mortgage would last about 49years.

During this 49years, if he/she have a relative/friend who came to redeem for him, it shall be redeemed for him. But if he have no one to redeem for him BUT he himself redeemed it, he shall then determine the value for the year since he sold it and refund the balance to the man whom he sold it ; and then he could go back to his own property.

For e.g. If I sold the land on year 2000, and on year 2010 I managed to redeem it back, all i have to pay back is value of the land - 10years value of the land = 39years value of the land.

However, if the person is unable to redeem it, the property that he mortgage shall be returned to him on the Year of Jubilee, in another word after 49years.

For e.g. If I sold the land on year 2000 and unable to redeem it. I can only have it back on year 2049.

Next, what happens next is IF a person who had already had his property mortgage and still make bad investment, doesn't learn his lesson from, remains poor & credited with huge debts. The thing that he could mortgage is his house (Leviticus 25:29-30):

29 If a man sells a house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; within a full year he may redeem it. 30 But if it is not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house in the walled city shall belong permanently to him who bought it, throughout his generations. It shall not be released in the Jubilee.

As you can see from this passage, if a person became poors and had to mortgage his house in order to pay off his debt, the lifespan for his house to be redeemed back is exactly 1year. Else, it shall belong to him/her who bought over the house after a year.

Now IF this person still refused to learn his lesson, still have not give up his bad habit, continuously getting himself in huge debt, yet he have no more possession, no more property, no more house to sell to you to pay back what he owe, he will then sell himself to you.

And thats how we got Hebrew servant who served under you. He served under you BECAUSE he forever was in huge debt, so huge that he first used his property, then his house, and all his possession until he have nothing else left but himself only. And yes, it was always because of DEBTS that caused him to be where he is.

Now we finally understand how did a person became a Hebrew servant. Now lets explore the unlying reason why do we have to understand this, and experience the magnificient grace that God gave us.

Now back to Exodus 21, we said that when we bought a hebrew servant, he is to serve us for 6years and on the 7th year he shall be freed and pays nothing. Why 6years and to be released on the 7th year?

When we are borned in a good family, we got everything we need. We are rich, travelling around the world, enjoy single part of life we could.

** Yes, but in the end one person will be poor if he doesn't have a good judgement, or consume a bad habit that costs his big piece of land to be taken away from him. Or to be declared bankrupt.

Now when we do not learn from our past lesson, we still spend like we used to be rich, thinking that we could have the world back. Still daydreaming that our credit cards could swipe like annual salary worth 100billions.

** Yup, consequences we all know. Selling more of our possessions, our jewellary, our house just to clear our debt.

And now we realized one thing, we got no choice but to work in order to survive. In order to feed ourselves, we need to work. Work for the sake of surviving.

**Isn't this ending like, becoming a slave/servant to another master? Employee to employer.

Like a servant, you work to pay off your debt. You work/serve your boss to get yourself survive. This is where God's grace comes. God doesn't make you go through all these process to get himself some joy. This is happening to you because of a single word.

BECAUSE YOU DO NOT HAVE RESPONSIBLITY.

Yup, harsh as it is, but it's all because you lack of responsiblity for youself, that you have to learn to serve your boss. You have to learn new skills, new task, learn to be humble, learn to be resposible for your own action. Yes, that's why a servant had to serve for 6years, because this 6 year is a time frame for us to reflect and learn how to be a humble & responsible person.

That's God intentions for us: to be a humble & responsible person.

And often people who came to church are people who are lost, broken, poor, and we as a church are here to teach them how to be responsible & humble person, to follow God's will.

** A penny for your thought: “Have people/members' life changed after they came to church? For better or for worse?

So now the system will look this way:

When there is servant, there is master too. Just like there's heaven & there's earth.

And now if you are master, and you have a servant, you are to treat your servant well as well. This is what the bible says - Exodus 21:20-36.

20 “And if a man beats his male or female servant with a rod, so that he dies under his hand, he shall surely be punished.
21 Notwithstanding, if he remains alive a day or two, he shall not be punished; for he is his property.
22 “If men fight, and hurt a woman with child, so that she gives birth prematurely, yet no harm follows, he shall surely be punished accordingly as the woman’s husband imposes on him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.23 But if any harm follows, then you shall give life for life, 24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.
26 “If a man strikes the eye of his male or female servant, and destroys it, he shall let him go free for the sake of his eye. 27 And if he knocks out the tooth of his male or female servant, he shall let him go free for the sake of his tooth.
28 “If an ox gores a man or a woman to death, then the ox shall surely be stoned, and its flesh shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall be acquitted.
29 But if the ox tended to thrust with its horn in times past, and it has been made known to his owner, and he has not kept it confined, so that it has killed a man or a woman, the ox shall be stoned and its owner also shall be put to death.
30 If there is imposed on him a sum of money, then he shall pay to redeem his life, whatever is imposed on him.
31 Whether it has gored a son or gored a daughter, according to this judgment it shall be done to him. 32 If the ox gores a male or female servant, he shall give to their master thirty shekels of silver, and the ox shall be stoned.
33 “And if a man opens a pit, or if a man digs a pit and does not cover it, and an ox or a donkey falls in it, 34 the owner of the pit shall make it good; he shall give money to their owner, but the dead animal shall be his.
35 “If one man’s ox hurts another’s, so that it dies, then they shall sell the live ox and divide the money from it; and the dead ox they shall also divide. 36 Or if it was known that the ox tended to thrust in time past, and its owner has not kept it confined, he shall surely pay ox for ox, and the dead animal shall be his own.

Picture yourself in this:

You have a maid, do you everyday torture your maid because you want to fully utilised whatever you have paid, or do you shower your maid with love as a master? Think!

When your maid is in trouble, are you the one as a master to stretch your hand to help her get out of the situation with your strength?

When you go travelling with your family, do you bring your maid along to enjoy whatever you are enjoying? Or do you just leave her at home, every now and then call her to make sure that she is not taking a break?

You will see when you and your maid contracts ended, will she leave you or will follow like what the bible said:

Exodus 21:5
"But if the servant plainly says, ‘I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free.”

That's the level of love, care & concern you showered for your servant. To the extend that he/she wouldn't even want to leave you and said that they are willing to even serve you for the rest of their life. To be your BONDSERVANT, till they died.

So guys, think about it. If you are a master of another person, how would you treat your servant.

If you think that you are in a servant position, what are you lacking of to be more responsible so that you can serve your master even more?

Eph 6:5-9
5 Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ; not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men, knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.
9 And you, masters, do the same things to them, giving up threatening, knowing that your own Master also is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him.

Col 3:22:25
22 Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God. And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality.

John 15:12-17
12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. These things I command you, that you love one another.

Hey guys, Jus to share with you a few Testimony to encourage you guys before 2009 end and be faith filled for 2010!

1. Results
My this Semester exam was not as easy as expected especially History of Management Theory (one of my module). The paper was 50% of my entire grade. Out of that 50% i couldnt do 24% of section A as the questions i predicted did not came out at all. I panicked during the exam. Kept praying to God in my heart, as i know besides God's miracle, i will not be able to clear this paper. I trust in God with all my heart that He would help me as well as prayed with faith and fasted for my results. Indeed, God is good... Instead of just a pass, i got a credit (one grade higher than pass)! Praise the Lord. I know it's not by might nor by power but by the works of the Holy spirit that i was able to get such a good grade. I was happy with my overall results with 2 credits and 2 distinction. 1 high distinction, 1 distinction and 1 credit for all my projects. PTL!!!

2. Financial Blessings and Favor in work place
I just wanna thank God for financial blessings. It's not a big amt but thank God for Pastor Tan. He provided for my JB Pastor Kong retreat. Eventhough i was there to look after his kids, but it was a privilege being able to serve Pastor Tan and the best thing was being able to speak to Pastor Kong. Pastor Kong retreat was 4 days, without favor from my work place, i will not be able to take 4 days off. Thus, I wanna Thank God for Financial Blessings and favor in workplace. =)

3. Protection upon my mum and greater capacity and friends

As some of you know, my mum when through a major operation on 17th Dec. She was suspected of having breast cancer (75% to 99% chance, but could only confirmed after operation), diagnosed by 2 professional doctors. Of cos my entire family was super worried abt my mum. I wanna thank Anthea for praying with me and those who prayed for my mum. I fasted and prayed and confessed in faith that the lump inside is jus a phloysis tumor (not a harmful one) and not any cancer cells. I prayed with my sister (who is a believer in our church as well). Indeed, the doctor has no final say, only God has the final say! Praise the Lord! The lump was only a phloysis tumor! My mum is back to her normal self now.

During that period of time, i had to prepare for thailand trip, had to do plenty of calling as it is children's church big day (CMAS), Had to plan for cg outreach bbq and had to invite friends for outreach and svc. I thank God for stretching my capacity and providing me strength to do the things He had tasked me. Indeed God is good. Outreach my connect grp invited a total of 7 friends and CMAS a total of 6 friends. I jus wanna encourage all of you esp the helpers that God is good! If you're faithful in the lil things He has tasked you to do, be assured that God will surely bless you abundantly!!!

Once there was this very wealthy young man. He lived in a great, elaborate house with dozens of rooms. Each room was more comfortable and more beautiful than the one before it. There were paintings and sculptures. Crystal chandeliers, golden, ornate railings on the stairs. More beauty that most have ever seen. One day he decided to invite the Lord to come and stay with him. When the Lord arrived, this young man offered him the very best room in the house. The room was upstairs and at the end of the hall. “This room is yours, Jesus! Stay as long as you like and you can do whatever you want to in this room, remember Jesus, it’s all yours.” “Thank you” the Lord replied, and with that the man shut the door and went about his daily business.

That evening after he had retired for the night there came a loud knocking at the front door. The young man pulled on his robe and made his way downstairs. When he opened the door he found that the devil had sent three of his demons to attack the man. He quickly tried to close the door but one of the demons kept sticking his foot in. Sometime later, after a great struggle, he managed to slam the door shut and returned to his room totally exhausted. “Can you believe that!” the man thought, “Jesus is upstairs in my very best room sleeping while I am down here battling demons. Oh, well, maybe he just didn’t hear.” He slept fitfully that night. The next day things went along as normal and, being as tired as he was, the young man retired early that evening.

Along about midnight, there came such a terrible ruckus at the front door that the young man was sure that whatever it was would tear the door down. He stumbled down the stairs once again and opened the door to find that there were dozens of demons now trying to get into his beautiful home. For more than three hours he fought and struggled against the demons from hell and finally overpowered them enough to shut the door against their attack. All energy seemed to fail him. “I really don’t understand this at all. Why won’t the Lord come to my rescue? Why does he allow me to fight all by myself? I feel so alone.” Troubled he found his way to the sofa and fell exhausted into a restless sleep.

The next morning he decided to inquire of the Lord about the happenings of the last two evenings. Quietly he made his way to the elegant bedroom where he had left Jesus. “Jesus,” he called as he tapped at the door. “Lord, I don’t understand what is happening. For the last two nights I have had to fight the demons away from my door while you laid up here sleeping. Don’t you care about me? Did I not give you the very best room in house?” He could see the tears building in Jesus’ eyes but continued on, “I just don’t understand. I really thought that once I invited you in to live with me that you would take care of me and I gave you the best room in my house and everything. What more can I do?”

“My precious child,” Jesus spoke so softly. ” I do love and care for you. I protect all that you have released into my care. But when you invited me to come here and stay, you brought me to this lovely room and you shut the door to the rest of your house. I am Lord of this room but I am not Master of this house. I have protected this room and no demon may enter here.”

“Oh, Lord, please forgive me. Take all of my house – it is yours – I am so sorry that I never offered you all to begin with. I want you to have control of everything.” With this he flung open the bedroom door and knelt at Jesus’ feet. “Please forgive me Lord for being so selfish.” Jesus smiled and told him that He had already forgiven him and that He would take care of things from now on. That night as the young man prepared for bed he thought to himself, ” I wonder if those demons will return. I am so tired of fighting them each and every night.” But he knew that Jesus said that he would take care of things from now on.

Along about midnight the banging on the door was frightening. The young man slipped out of his room in time to see Jesus going down the stairs. He watched in awe as Jesus swung open the door, no need to be afraid. Satan stood at the door this time demanding to be let in. “What do you want, Satan?” the Lord asked. The devil bowed low in the presence of the Lord, “So sorry, I seem to have gotten the wrong address.” And with that, he and the demons all ran away.

There is a moral to this tale. Jesus wants all of you, not just a part. He will give you victory over all that you give Him. How much of your heart have you given to the Lord? Are you keeping a portion of it away from Him? Perhaps the attacks are coming more and more each day. Why not let the Lord fight the battles for you? He is always victorious.

“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you [Jesus] is greater than the one who is in the world [Satan]” 1 John 4:4.

Proverbs 7: 6 - 8 (NKJV)
⁶ For at the window of my house
I looked through my lattice,
⁷ And saw among the simple,
I perceived among the youths,
A young man devoid of understanding,
⁸ Passing along the street near her corner;
And he took the path to her house

This verse from the way it seems how a man w/o understanding and fell right into immoral behavior. But let's us take a closer look at the whole verse.

'I perceived among the youths, a young man devoid of understanding'
Yes why among the youth and not among adult, isn't adult the 1 who always have external affair?
From this sentence, it used YOUTHS, it meant - immature. And it does not really mean immature in reality, but IT is in spiritually. Yes, and its always usually the new who just received Christ. Usually, because it might refer to people who are long in church still yet to be spiritually mature.

And later on of the phrase you see that it said a young man devoid of understanding. Initially i was thinking "huh, what understanding? understanding of what?" UNTIL i read Pastor Phil's book - Inspired to PRAY, it gives a me a whole new understanding.
Understanding is the KEY to leading & relating to people & navigating our way through our life with God. It just meant - understanding God's Words and His way. Some people just don't get it, God why me? God, why at this time? God, why? why? why? which i believe Pastor Tan did state before.
And you saw through your position, among the youth there! there's a youth who is lacking of understanding. Someone who don't understand God's way and plan and purpose. Someone who lack of understanding.

v8, and you see temptation start coming in. There, a women waving seductively at the weaker member. And yes, when you do not have God's understanding, you just took the path yourself thinking that there bound to have another alternatives for this problem. Thinking: "No, I do not need God's help for this. Even He close the heaven's door to me, treating me with a silent days, i shall live by my ways." And thats when temptation start waving at you, giving you the ways which God have no intention for you.
And you just walk along the street near her corner, and you took the path to her house, fell into a trap setup by the devil.

Simple verse like this, but i believe it speaks to us who constantly falling into the devil's trap. Constantly into temptation and sins again and again. Constantly thinking that God will forgive, forget, and give grace back to you.
BUT one thing i can be assure is, every time we sinned, God cried for us. Just like how a naturally father who see his daughter/son, going into a stray way. How much it hurts, it comparable to how God see us sin. It just hurt so much that, He might not even have a good night rest because of it.

I have seen my real father turned from 30years old dad into 50years old overnight. Just within 1week, he became so much older. Thats why i believe its the same in our Spiritually Father.

Word of Encouragement: Are You Ready?

“Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Revelation 19:7-8

The whole purpose of the Lord dying on the cross is that He might have for Himself a beautiful, glorious Church. Jesus Christ is the Bridegroom and the Church is the Bride. The marriage of the Lamb and His wife is really the union between Jesus and His Church. But the second coming of Jesus will only take place when the Church has made itself ready. What do we mean by “being ready”? Revelation 19:8 says that the Bride is ready when she has put on her wedding garment.

There are three important features about this garment:

(1) The garment is made of linen. Why linen? Linen is a material that is very comfortable to wear. Ezekiel 44:18 says, “They shall have linen turbans on their heads and linen trousers on their bodies; they shall not clothe themselves with anything that causes sweat.” What is sweat? Sweat is associated with the curse that has put man under labor (Gen. 3:19). There are two forms of righteousness: one by human works and another by God’s grace. The righteousness that is typified by linen speaks of the righteousness by grace. Christianity is unique among all other belief systems in the world in that it teaches a salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Eph. 2:8-9).

(2) The garment is clean. Cleanliness comes when you are washed by the Word of God (5:26). This means that your life must be governed by the Word of God. Not only does the Word cleanse you, it also sanctifi es you—making you holy unto God.

(3) The garment is white. Revelation 7:14 says, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” The color white speaks of the righteousness we have through the forgiveness of sins. And it is the precious blood of Jesus that washes us white as snow.

Are you ready to meet the Lord at His coming? Do you have the linen garment? Is it clean and white? Revelation 16:15 says, “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.” God doesn’t take away our salvation but we can lose it. There are two sides to the gospel: God’s side and our side. There is no problem with the former but it is the latter that we need to be careful about.

Well, all thanks to my dear Angel - Mr. Chee Yuan, who got me this book that consisted of 1. faith, 2. hope and 3. love for angel and mortal.

Just to share with you guys some insights from that book, and hopefully its helpful to you all! :)

The book started off really good with this very first verse:

"IF my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and PRAY and SEEK my face, and TURN from their wicked ways, then I will HEAR from heaven, and WILL forgive their sins, and HEAL their land. "
2 Chronicles 7:14

Look at what God is looking in us. The very first thing he expected from us is to humble ourselves. To abstain from food(fasting) , lower down our pride and bowing down to Him, who is our king and shall reign from Beginning to the End.

And when we humble ourselves, we pray for things and thirst for His presence and seeking for His face. Jesus said in Luke 11:9 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." and you will find things that you have been asking for is given to you, things that you been seeking for it added to you and things that you been wanting to break through will be done so in His name.

Hear the Words of God, and turn your wicked ways from the Devil. Let no temptation take over your flesh, for the flesh is weak but the spirit is strong. And remember the promises that God have promised us? That he would never give a temptation that is beyond our strength and when temptation are given to us, it is a test. A test for us to be an overcomer for Him. Remember what Pastor Tan have just said: "God is under-going a process of choosing the one" The very few special ones that God have chosen for His Will to be done.

And He will hear us, hear us from heaven from our crying prayers, from our daily prayers, from our weeping prayers, from our very own bottom of the heart prayers that reached to Him, and He have sent Jesus from heaven to come down and WASH away our sins and HEALED the broken and lame, and brought them to meet face to face with God.

There isn't anyone is definitely the first, neither there is a last to reach to God. There is only a way to reach God our Father, that is only through Jesus Christ, Son of God. He is the only way, the truth and life. No one goes to the Father except only through Him. John 114:6

But DO take note, that all these things will be done in Jesus name, will be done for you who asked for it, will be done for you who been seeking for it, will be added to you when you gives, will be open for you if you knock, all of these will be done ONLY, only... IF you do it.

Only IF you do it.
Only IF you ask for it, then it will be given to you.
Only IF you knock, then it will be opened to you.
Only IF you gives, then it will be added back to you.
Only IF you seek, then you will find.
Only IF you pray and humble.....

Everything doesn't matter if you don't even take the first step out.

Its the thunder storm coming to test us. God knows that we can handle all these that's why he allowed it to happen. The same Spirit that raised Christ is inside of us! So what is it that we cannot handle? Let's JIAYOU AND NEVER GIVE IN TO THE DEVIL!!!
Whatever that comes, united we stand.

We got to keep our roots strong, and allow it to grow deeper into the soil. If all of "E376 trees" were to grow together, when the storm comes, we are able to shelter one another, especially those smaller trees, withstand everything together and to also "cling" onto one another with our "branches and roots".

Commandment #7:
You shall not commit adultery. (Exodus 20:14)

The act of adultery: voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and someone other than his or her lawful spouse.
These few weeks Pastor Kong have been sharing with us about having an affair outside a marriage, and why people will commit adultery despite they know that having an affair is WRONG.

The act of doing something which we all knew its a sin, yet we still commit it. The Devil always make use of our lack of self-control to tempt us further. (1 Cor 7:5)
But did the Bible not say that, when a man is married to a woman, it is 2 to become of1 flesh? By committing adultery, we're like trying to make 1 into 3 flesh, whereby things in a marriage got more complicated.

So, guys steadfast in your heart and have the power of will in your mind. For as the flesh is weak, but the spirit is willing. And when we are weak, We are strong.

Commandment #6:

No matter who we are, we have no right to be the one to judge one person life. And neither can we claim one person life. Everyone will be accountable for whatever they have done once their time is right, and do not question when is your time, for as heaven have their own secret as well.

Neither should we be murdering people by using verbal words.

Pastor Aries showed us a one an a half hour video on one of Bill Wilson's message during the 2nd day of Evangelism Xplosion prayer meeting. So let me just share with you some things that i caught from this video.

Anyway, Bill Wilson was the one who came to our church during the hollywood days and ask who was willing to set up a children ministry and that was how our CHCC was built =DD

Can ONE man make a difference?
Num 16
A story in the bible cannot only remain as a story, but it must be a point of true reference. Its like hearing a story in the bible that death came upon the people and 14700 people died and seeing a man having a gun pointed at his head and "bang", half of his head is just being blown off. Is it just a story or something that you feel really happen?

He shared about a town where the people had been living happily in there for years. But when Bill Wilson went to that town, from the church he was able to see another village. So poor, so poor. That village was so near and yet the church had not even help them a single time at all. Not to say even taking a step into that village. When we get close enough to that particular thing, our thinking will change towards that. When we allow that thing to come close to us, the urgency will come. When we allow so, we will understand why some people do things the way they do. Its the same when it comes to evangelising and outreach. We can be near the issue itself but if we're not willing to go and walk in it, we'll be missing out the whole point.

What is the main title that we all should have from the bible? Servant!

Bill Wilson shared his story: When he was still a very young child, one day, his mum ask him to go out and told him to stay under a tree while she went off to get some things. A day passed, his mother didnt come back. Another and another. On the third day, a kind hearted man came up to him and brought him home. That day, he went to church. When it was altar call, he went up. Even though he didnt really know what it meant to receive Jesus but he knew that there was something missing in his life and he went up. Up there, everyone child had a counsellor beside them. Praying for them except him. Even so, he said the sinner's prayer. At the end, he found out that becuse he was wearing a torn hole-ly shirt and pants, all dirty looking that's why no one wanted to pray for him. The reality is that no one wants to go near the outcast. People who are deem to be of a lower class.

Are we willing to go? Or are we just going to say no?

Num 16:48- one person can make a difference. Aaron stood between the living and the dead.
If one person can make a difference, who is that person?

Like the story shared above about the church not helping the poor village people. A community didnt go and help but Aaron went. When we're in it, we either move or walk away!

There is this lady who doesn't know how to speak english but she wanted to help Bill Wilson in his children's ministry and so, he told her to go up on different buses every single week to help out. This lady did so and within one week, she learnt how to say, "I love you and Jesus loves you too". So everytime she goes up on a bus she would pick the dirtiest child and put him or her one her lap and constantly whisper in their ears that "I love you and Jesus loves you too". However, after several weeks of serving, she went up to Bill Wilson and ask him if she could stay on a particular bus. So every week, she would pick this particular child up and whisper in his ears, "I love you and Jesus loves you too". She would keep doing this for the whole journey to church and back. This child has never ever responded to her and the workers couldn't visit him because he lived in a home which had drug addicts outside so the workers were unable to enter. Whenever, it was his stop, the child would just get down the bus and run into his house. But this day, when he got down the bus, he didnt run in to his house immediately. Instead, he went back and whisper into her ears," I...III...lov....love...yo....you...to....too...an..and...Jes...Jesus...lov..loves...me" and then he ran into his house. That night, Bill Wilson received a call to hear that this child was found in a rubbish dump, dead and badly beaten up.

Can one person make a difference? Of course!

When we have someone who is willing to do whatever it takes, it'll become an obsession or passion and if people around you do not know what your passion is, it just means that you do not have one!

He shared with us that Martin Luther was willing to give up whatever he was made to believe since young for some things he knew that was right. Sometimes there are just people around us that will not understand what we're doing.

Num 16:47 -doing something that you cannot do

Being a 100yrs old and still being able to run?

How much do we want it?
When ladies go to the mall and window shop and all... Suddenly they chance upon this dress that she really likes alot. What will she look at first when she picks the dress up?
Price Tag! If the price is too expensive, our desire for it will no longer be so strong as when we first saw it. But do we still want it? Just like evangelism. Are we willing to pay the price?? Or do we look at the price and our desire for it no longer stays as strong?

Do we just pray for revival then....pray for revival and then....... pray for revival again? Are we going to mix our works with it?

Most of us have a map in our mind. Map of what we want to do. Just like there is this guy who was trying to convince the world that you'll not fall off the earth because it is round. He and his people went to the edge of the map that they have in their hands. From there, they could see another island so he called out for his people to move but they didnt. They thought they were going to fall off earth if they went any more forward. So as the leader, he went forward and told his men to follow him. The edge of every map is limited by our mind. We're not getting anywhere until we decide to cross over the line. Just like this guy who crossed over the edge of map of the sea and found a new island!

The need is the call. Don't just sit back and do nothing just because you feel that, God has not called me into any ministry and so, I am going to wait for Him to come and tell me wad is my calling in life. If you can feel the need, that is the call for you. Just like the man who pick up Bill Wilson on the third day? Later, Bill Wilson went to ask him, why did you pick me up? He told him that he saw him there for 2 days. On the 2nd day, he knew something was not right and on the third day, he was still there and the man went and brought him home. To Bill Wilson, whenever he does his busing ministry, he feels like he is piking himself up at every stop. The children he picks up have AIDS, sickness no one will ever want to go near, poor, needy children. He never know what will happen to the child the next minute after they leave his bus so he just does his best in all. Just like we will not know what will happen next, we got to do our best in everything!

The NKJV (Exodus 20:12) Commandment #5:

Honour your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

There's a chinese saying: "Be careful to be strucked by the lightning when u dishonoured your parent." Isn't it the same as what the commandment have said, that your days may be long when you honoured your parents.

Our parents didn't brought up us just to see us to dishonour them. Neither should we let their faith in us to be destoryed by our own hands.

Kids are like an investment, investing for some companion when you're old, investing for some support when you're old. Someone who is by your side when you're bed-ridden, or maybe you're are catching your last breathe yet your child isn't there for you.

So lets learn to treasure our parent more. Lets spend more time with them if possible. Communicate with them, and last of all, honour them.

The Great Commandments

The 4th Commandment: (NKJV)

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it, you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

Lets remember that Sabbath Day(the 7th day of the week), is the day we should be resting, and giving this day to our Lord. Remembering that even our God is resting on this day after creating he made everything on Earth.

And in all, today in City Harvest the Sabbath day on Saturday. Lets try to keep our Sabbath day free for Him and be blessed by Him who promised.

Romans 4:21 - "....and being fully convinced that what He has promised He was also able to perform."

Yes, He is brave, he is a hero to all citizen.. and thats right! He's been serving the Singapore Police Force as a Neighbourhood police officer.. Constantly giving safety patrol around Woodlands Estate.

Lets give him a big round of applause!!!

AND...

ORD-participant #1: Toh Pin Xuan

Yes, another brave ORD-ED mate. Like participant #1, a member in Singapore Police Force as well. BUT this fellow, tsk tsk, not simple huh. He's fighting the terroist! Constantly patrolling all of our MRT station to keep a lookout for Osama's team OR JI team, or some other unknown terroist.

Once again, lets give him a big round of applause!

The 3rd Commandment of the law

Commandment #3: Exodus 20:7)
You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

Just as people places meaning to the names that they chose for their children, the name of God also bears meaning to His character and nature. Let's honor God by not using His holy name in vain.
If you are in doubt, please do not say you believe in Jesus' name. How can be abuse the name of the Lord like that??
Please be sure of yourself and faith when you called upon the Lord God in Heaven above. :)

No carved gods of any size, shape, or form of anything whatever, whether of things that fly or walk or swim. Don't bow down to them and don't serve them because I am God, your God, and I'm a most jealous God, punishing the children for any sins their parents pass on to them to the third, and yes, even to the fourth generation of those who hate me. But I'm unswervingly loyal to the thousands who love me and keep my commandments.

An idol is explained in previous entry. And look at Colossians 3:5-6, and we'll know that idolatry brings wrath of God. But we also know that, when Christ is in us, idolatry wouldn't even occur to us. (Col 3:8-11)
And definitely, those who followed and keep His commandments will received his love. =)

Commandment #1
You shall not have any God before me.
- For I am a jealous God. (Exodus 34:14)

Yes, what does jealous exactly meant?
According to source (www.dictionary.com)
Jealous: An intolerant of unfaithfulness or rivalry.

Basically its when you worshiped another idol, God will be jealous of it.
So we asked "when do we consider to be worshiping an idol?"
A: Its anything that we placed our trust & dependence on it. That we believed in whatever it said, does, affect us. Its often things that we thought we could not found in God but could be found in there.
For example, we might be worshiping money? For all we thought that money is something more realistic, money is more practical, money can do everything in this world. And we placed our trust on money to do things we couldn't have it when we trust in God. That is when we sub-consciously put money as the first priority instead of God.
Another example might be horoscope? Zodiac? Being superstitious?

So guys, lets look into ourselves and think, have we broke the first commandment that God had set for us?

Well well, let's see.

2008 definitely is an havoc year for E376.

Not only we see lots of outing for E376 that build our family bond; whereby not only love, care & concern opened up people's heart, we also had different kinds of major events for CHC as well for E376. Events like Sentosa outreach, Kreative Cosmopolitan Party, Neo's Camp, Light of colors BBQ session, Asia Conference 2008, Easter Celebration, Candlelight services, Christmas celebration; Operation - Save the World, we even had a combine cellgroup chalet.
Dozen of Rev Pastor came down to preach and encouraged. Arise & Build campaign.

And then E376 itself conducted NS fellowship for all the NS guys who are serving the nation right now. And every now and then gathered together and chill out.
And when members in need of help, a pair of listening ear was provided, hands are stretched to reach out, shoulders are there to support.

Definitely an UP and DOWN year for E376, and i really feel we are doing real good as a whole.

And so.. Now is 2009. AND for sure, we are going to have another breakthru!
An even more havoc year. Full of madness & crazyness, full of love filling an empty heart, full of affection bringing warmth to the unopened heart, full of smiles bringing fun, joy and laughter into people's life.

And I really hoped that all of the members will share this vision together, aiming to strive for another level of E376.
We shall fight as one, shall move as one, shall dream as one and achieving it as one.
Shall we?

MERRY CHRISTMAS

to all our dear readers and our members!!

Christmas Service was great, with the candle lights, with the drama: Operation - Save the world, with the musical singing and most importantly is the flooding amount of people!!! The whole hall was filled with people. Gosh, it is extremely nice when the whole church is filled with people holding on to the candle light service.
Even with a tiny little candle light, the whole church could still be lighted up.

Anyway, Christmas's fellowship was an successful outing!!! More than 15members turned up! That's super nice to see everyone is filled with joy & laughter. Just using a few bucks from each other, we are able to like eat, drink & enjoy to the fullest. Though simple yet cosy. Lets have more of this kind of fellowship, guys. I really really & really enjoy this Christmas Day.

What are your thoughts after pledging on Arise & Build 2008?

Pst Kong taught us about manifestations at service this week. Let's arise & build! Let's start seeing manifestations of the Holy Spirit in our lives! Let the Word become flesh in our personal lives, our homes, our CG, our schools, our camps & offices! It can be possible but are you ready to give unusual response?

Our breakthroughs only come when we move in the power of faith! Friends, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God! (Rom 10:17)

The Logos (Written WOG) must become the Rhema (Spoken WOG) [Biblical manifestation in the simplest form!]

Luke 1:26-38

v26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,
v27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary.
v28 And having come in, the angel said to her, "Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!"
v29 But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was.

Mary had an unusual response to God's call for her life to bear Jesus in her womb! She said,"Let it be to me according to Your Word." --> Mary's unusual response brings the manifestation of the WOG!

For every biblical manifestation, there is always first an unusual response!

Come on, E376, remember that our breakthroughs are on its way!
**Breakthrough is a sudden burst of power that takes you past the previous point of resistance!**

NS Fellowship [Pool time]

And Aizhen, Katherine & Anthea were trying to study in this environment! LOL!

And i learnt something about pool! You can use the stick that Pin Xuan's using to aim with some valid reasons of cos... Ha! I don't remember now!

Well, it took me to realize something about True Friendship a few weeks ago when someone told me: "Sebas, you are a true friend" which kind of makes me ponder deeper into what true friendship is all about with God. For as, we all know that Christianity is not a RELIGION but instead its something we build with God and that is Friendship, or maybe you could say relationship.

So, somehow i managed to find something about True Friendship in some christian website and wanted to share it out, but didn't have the time to do so until now..

Some thoughts that i got from there:

Indeed, friendship is built up based on a single word with 4 syallabus: Relationship. Isn't that what Pastors have been talking about? Always reminding us that Christianity is not something religous thingy going on but its always about building a relationship with God.

And a relationship is always built by spending time with each other. In our human realm, we build relationship by doing things together, we shared our problem with one another, we fellowship together and we appreciated one another.

But in God realm, in the realm of the Holy Spirit, the only time we get to fellowship is to PRAY with Him. That is like the only time we get to talk to Him, the only time whereby we get to share our problems to Him, and build up a strong relationship with Him. Many times, we are too busy in our own human realm that we don't bother to build a relationship with Him, we are too busy entertaining friends that we don't even know is he/she a true friend to us. But Him, who is always looking over us without asking anything much back in return is always there for us. But at times we are just so unappreciative of His effort & love.

Another factor would be trust. If a friendship don't even have trust among each other, is that still even consider a friendship? I would say that is Hypocrite Friendship. Come on! Friends are supposed to placed entire trust with each other. Believing in them that they can do it means they can do it. Though results does matter but i believe process is even more important.
Just like Jesus is our friend, as long as we have faith in Him, in everything we BELIEVED that what He promised He will do, He will definitely do it. And not just a common believe, but is FULLY CONVINCED. (Romans 4:21)
In another word, Trust = Faith.

Of course, the link would show us more example of why God is indeed a true friend and showed us from the beginning of the Bible to the end. In my own experience, God had always gave me the assurance of Him being there for us at all times, encouraging us to going forward, be it during day or night, stormy or sunny weather, He whom loved us unconditional is our true friend.

Alright guys! I believe that, we always have lots and lots of TESTIMONIAL to share out to everyone BUT... BUT... Not often we got the chance to share it out loud to God, or even share it to our cell group members..

I feel that this is the best place to spread any testimonies we have/encountered with God.

so dearest members, do try to login in to the blog to SHOUT OUT! your testimonies.
Let's praise God, our Father wherever we go, any place, any moment anytime!!!

I will start with myself:

1. First of all, I am REALLY REALLY grateful that He had given me a very perfect COY when i'm in BMTC School 2.

Not only the sergs there is super nice and professional, the officers there is also super nice. [Esp the welfare part (:]

And next, He gave me a cohesive platoon and everyone is willingly to work hard to achieve results. Not only that, Raven platoon3 also AIZAI!

Then next He gave me a SUPER DUPER COHESIVE SECTION. Everyone just "CLICK" with one another.

Last but not least, a nice viewing mall @ my coy/platoon/section. From my level, i would enjoy sunrise & sunset as well as the beautiful scenery facing Singapore.

2. I would like to thank God for a breakthrough in myself. Not just physical, but a big breakthrough in mentally, and also emotionally. Most importantly, i felt i had a breakthrough in spiritual level. So I'm really thankful for the breakthrough.

3. Last testimonies, Praise the Lord who gave me a similar COY in Basic Section Leader Course(BSLC) like Raven. The sergs are nice and most importantly there is quite welfare as well! =/ Platoon mates are funny and section mates are nice too!!!! So praise the Lord who have been protecting me from above and providing safety to everyone around!

With this, i thank God for the blessing poured down from Heaven. Amen.

The theme is A spectrum of Light! - come in as MANY colors as you can! The entire idea is that a light in a spectrum gives off many colors. Our life is meant to be colorful! That is what God has created us to be!

On 09-08-08, National day, we had our cell group outreach event @ sentosa. We met up @ HarbourFront Bus Interchange for breakfast...

Alright! Moving off to the sentosa Palawan Beach. That's where settled down ourselves and had our activities over there. Firstly, we had our ice breaking game since most of us don't know each other, esp for the friends.

Then after that... we begin our activities.. I'll explain the activities via photos(attached below).

Faith & Faith & Faith.. It's all about faith.

These few weeks of service is really super cool. We have special guest speaker from differenet countries like Dr Rev. Alex Abraham (Indonesia) & Dr Rev.Casey Treat (USA). Then followed by Pastor Tan whom gave a super powerful preaching on changing of our mind towards God, which made me walked out changed instead of unchanged.

On the day that Dr Rev. Alex Abraham came, it was S.O.T graduation!! First of all, lets congrats our dear member WENTING who graduate on the sat. WOOOHOO.. wee oo wee.. Its been like ever since i joined this cell group, she have been busy with school work and S.O.T and alot other stuff. And finally, after all these endure she graduted from the school. Lets be HAPPY for her~

Then the next service was the day whereby Dr Rev. Alex prayed over our church. Though i was not there, but i saw it through the highlights video about how he prayed for us, prayed for Pastor Kong.
All thanks to Joven, whom enlighten me something. Just looking at how Dr Rev. Alex prayer, it teaches us a few points.

1. Prayer doesn't need to be fancyful or full of chimology words. All we need is to be simple and straightforward.

2. Prayer have to come directly from your heart. Not because you think that this is better way to express it.

3. Prayer cannot come with self-doubt in your heart.

And through prayer is the only communication with God. And not only prayer must be sincere and straightforward, most importantly we must have faith. Just like Dr Rev. Casey says, our faith is like internet connection.
The better our 'internet connection' is, the faster the speed we can download file from the heaven. And with better 'internet connection', we are able to access more information from God.

Dr Rev. Casey also said that when your heart believes & your mouth start to confess about it, then the power of God will come to you. And all your prayer will be answered because you asked with faith. You asked with belief that God will answer your prayer.

And faith doesn't come that easily. We have to keep on exercise our faith, keep on working out on our faith muscles and keep it growing. By then, our 'internet connection' is so fast that everytime we asked from God, we get instant replies.
I figure that, only through trial & tribulation then that where our breakthrough of faith will come. Rom 5: 3-5: tribulation will produce perservance, then character then hope & love. And all of these will strengthen our faith towards God.

A lot of time, when we faced tribulation we started to have doubt. Because we really prayed for it and prayed for quite a lot of time, but God just doesn't reply us. God just doesn't talk to us. God just ignore you all the way. Then doubt start to come and the devil will start to attack our thoughts. "Give up.. Give up.. Backslide and come to us" says the devil.

But we must always meditate this phrase;
Mark 9:23 - That if you believe then all things are possible through him.
Romans 4:21 - and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.

Therefore, do not give way to the devil for the saints are singing for revival. Lets us keep faith growing, keep on exercise our faith muscles. Find out whats the best way to train up your faith and keep it full tank at all times.

Another way to stop faith from decreasing is having SELF-DOUBT in ourselves.
Pastor Tan: 3 things to remove from oursevles.

1. Remove critical thoughts
2. Remove defeated thoughts
3. Remove negative thoughts

As saying goes, if you already lose in your mind, you have already lost the whole battle. So, when devil attacked you, you'll just crumbled all the way till you hate God, you disbelieve in God.

Just a recap of Pastor Tan's preaching for yesterday service, there 3 changes we have to do in our attitude to God. A right attitude will bring a right living.

1st changes: Change the way we think of ourselves in God.

We have to stop thinking that whatever we do in Earth, we will be judged by God when we die. We will received bad punishment from Him who judged us.

NO! God is a god full of compassion. He gives us grace and through His grace we know Jesus Christ who died for us. And through His grace we are given the Holy Spirit to guide us.

But this doesn't mean that you can take Him for granted. We have to be careful of the devil's trap to make us think that "hey, God will forgive me for sins i do, so i just continued it." When you do not repent, that when God will come and judged you.

2nd changes: Change the way we think about whats is important to God.

A lot of times we think that we have the best thing in our hands and we don't want any more. Any other things is non-comparable to it. But sometimes it is not the best what God wants us to have.

In another words, we have to be more God-centred instead of self-centred. This might be what you want for your life but thats not what God want you to have.

So we have to know what is important to God instead of what is important to us.

3rd changes: Change the way we give to God

God is the God of the world. Everything belongs to him. What he wants he can have it instant at his command. But what God can't have it is the willingness of human. God doesn't want to force us to do things unwillingly. He wants us to do it willingly.

Same goes for giving. When we give, God wants us to give delightfully instead of religious duty that we must be commited to it. Or He doesn't wants us to give because we feel that if we don't give, we will feel gulity. Then we start to give unwillingly. He who loves us, doesn't love religious shows or flakky christian. He wants us to be just like His son, Jesus.

To sum up, all of the preaching given is always closely related to each other. They often overlapped each other and theses preaching are not pre-planned or something. The preaches are given to them via the Holy Spirit to preach to us, to teach us, to educate us about Jesus.

Last but not least readers, please have FAITH in God.

MARK 9:23 - IF YOU CAN BELIEVE, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH HIM WHO BELIEVES.

Keep growing for the Lord

Though it might be alittle late for this post as this was the preaching from Pastor Derek on 260708, but still nothing is ever late in the presence of the Lord, for as God will be live for generations and generations but we are unable to do so. For as He is the creator of this earth and he gave us life so that we are able to do great things to magnify him.

Through the preaching from Pastor Derek, i came to realise something super important in our life. The word: "Consistency"

While reading this, please ask ourselves how many time have we give up something or doing something because we don't have the determination get it done? Or how many time have we be lazy to have prayer conference? Or how many time have we been lazy that we do not want to serve or go to any of the cell group meeting?

Guys & ladies, this is the definitely not the way God wants us to be and of course not the way we should complete the race in our life. .

Yes, we have been pampered, so pampered that we are often led by Spirit of Lazyness to make us take a break in the race. But we have to take note of 1 thing, once we stopped we break the momentum of going forward. We break the momentum of our mind.
The moment we stopped, we say to ourselves that we need to catch more air before going on, we put ourselves in a comfort zone and enjoy breathing more air and slowly walking towards the end.
Then we tell ourselves "no no, i should continue run this race." Then you start running again. But then not after 10mins, you are out of breathe again. Then at that point of time, you are already implanted with the Spirit of Lazyness. And very soon, though you may the first to run, but you are the last to reach.

This is just like the story of "Rabbit and Tortoise Race" Though you may be like a rabbit running so fast, but you taking a break because you feel that there is a need to take a break in your life. While the tortoise being consistent in moving towards the end, WON.

See? Consistency is the way to win everything. Believe yourself and believed that the Lord will show you glory and He will definitely give you the prize of the race. Not because you won the race but you are persistent in everything you do and He who see everything on the top is touched by the attitude you giving to Him.

So what now!? Start to learn how to control your mindset. Stop putting ourselves in the comfort zone. We have to fall and get hurt right now. We have to start to control the way we live. Though it is not easy but be persistent and the Lord will be touched by your action and bless you.

I am new member! Sebastian See.
Being tasked to post something @ this blog before going in ns. ha.

Anyway, the cell group had a wonderful experience with Pastor Mike Connell. Indeed, if we are unable to overcome disappointment in life, and we took and stab it in our heart and endure and try to move on with our life, 1 day the disappointment will be the killer of our life.

So friends, i would like to encourage everyone to stay connected with each other. Regardless of what happen in your life, share it out. You can choose to share with your cell group members, or your cell group leader. OR maybe you feel that, you not that close with the cell group members becoz the cell group is too big, then try at least with your connect group members or your connect group members. Afterall, we are 1 big family in the Lord Jesus.

Definitely life is full of disappointment, but if we learn to deal with it, HA what's the next hardest thing in our life!
SO LETS DEAL DISAPPOINTMENT IN THE CORRECT WAYS =)

Built to Last - The Jesus DNA

Hey guys, i just thought i want to have this posted! It's an awesome sermon Pst Tan shared. :)

The Jesus DNA consists of Faith + Hope + Love = SERVANTHOOD.

The Cross shows these 4 on its beams. Everything that we do should be based on Faith, Hope & Love. Paul says in 1 Cor 13:13 "And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love." It is easy for us to say we love ppl but how often can we DEMONSTRATE our love for ppl? **Think about it**

Just as our body structure is held together by a cross-like structure, Jesus is that supporting structure for us in the kingdom of God.

We celebrated his birthday on Friday, 30th of Nov after our cellgroup meeting. =D Lorraine asked everyone to gather around and said there's something that she needs to tell us and SURPRISE! ^^

Just wanna share a word of encouragement with all.
I learn in my last Lesson of Bible study something rather encouraging...

" Don't Look back, Dont look at yourself, always Look forward"

All of us will face spiritual warfare. Whether Big or small.
But i just wanna encourage you all by telling you this, God had prepared Spiritual armor for all of us.
We'll have complete protection against all Spiritual warfare.

But never turn back, for God provides no protection from the back but from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet.

I just wanna encourage yall' by telling you this. No matter what you face in your life, whether spiritually, physically or emotionally, DON'T sound the retreat but advance, for our Heavenly Father will protect us against everything that satan had thrown to us. Have faith in Him, you'll pull through everything at the end of the day.

I hope this will encourage all of you who are having a hard time now. Just Remember, NVR RETREAT but ADVANCE!!!

meanings

evil thoughts- Each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. In other words, we can only be tempted by the defilements that have been stored or planted down in our hearts. The word defilement means to corrupt chastity, to debauch, to violate, to tarnish the purity of character by lewdness, to taint, to stain, to contaminate, to sully, to render impureby sin. It means to become polluted, to be profaned or made commom, to be made unclean. So evil thoughts come out of a part of our hearts that are unsanctified.

1) The area of anointing

How to be anointed?
John 15: 18-20

Anointed flows through relationship!

There has to be a relationship that a master shares with a servant!
=> V20, 1. There is a relationship between you and your leader(s).

Are you connected to the Spirit of God and to vision of your leader(s)?

In CHC, do you believe in the Great Commandment, the Great Commission and the Cultural Mandate?

2) The area of capacity

Write the vision down and run after it!

Are you able to handle more things? Are you organized? Are you a happy person?
The more organized you become, the more you can handle things.

a) Emotional capacity

Are you happy? Are you a joyous person? Is there joy around you?
The way you handle things at work is the same way you handle things in church, cg.
Be organized & be an asset to the people around you!

Loving- loving one another

People often forget how the smallest, most seemingly insignificant things can have such beautiful possibilities. All it takes is one person to make a difference in this world. People like Mother Teresa, Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. testify to this fact. But often, we are so afraid to try, to speak up, or to make a difference. Corrinne May named the album and the song ‘Beautiful Seed’ because she thinks that a seed is a wonderful metaphor for our lives. We are all like seeds. Seeds grow unseen in the soil and then sprout, and some seed become the biggest, most majestic trees and others grow to eventually bear wonderful fruit, and yet others, grow to provide shade. We are like trees. When we are in our mother’s womb, no one can see us growing, but we are there. And all the potential for our lives is present in that moment, small as we are at that point in our lives, we are who we are now because of what we’ve gone through. And just knowing that, makes me sad to read about the increasing numbers of abortions that occur. People have forgotten that all the potential for life comes from something small, seemingly insignificant, seemingly lifeless. Recently, I read about how scientists managed to grow a date palm plant from a 2000 year old seed. How amazing.

Make a decision to change the way the world thinks. Be a history maker! (:
